About the Role: As part of the Data Systems department, the engineer makes a qualitative contribution to the project within their area of expertise by working independently. The aim is to help ensure that the delivery of a project is completed properly within the predetermined time and scope. By engaging with the client, you identify their expectations and needs. You help think about effective and efficient solutions for the client and translate these into a customized program. Main responsibilities: Design, implement, and maintain Operational Intelligence (OI) solutions utilizing AVEVA PI (formerly OSISoft PI) for global industrial environments. Develop, deploy, and support real-time use cases to optimize operational performance and efficiency. Create and maintain comprehensive reporting and analytics dashboards using tools like Power BI. Integrate data sources from operational technology (OT) systems into AVEVA PI for effective data visualization and decision-making. Ensure reliable data acquisition, validation, storage, and distribution across various platforms. Troubleshoot data quality and connectivity issues within OI environments to minimize operational disruption. Collaborate closely with operational, engineering, and IT teams to continuously enhance analytics solutions and use case effectiveness. Conduct periodic assessments to identify and implement system performance improvements. Education: Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline. Certifications or formal training in AVEVA PI (OSISoft PI System Administration, Infrastructure Specialist, etc.) are strongly preferred. Experience: 2+ years of relevant experience in Operational Intelligence, AVEVA PI engineering, or industrial data analytics. Familiarity with Industry 4.0, digitalization strategies, and operational excellence frameworks. Ideal profile: Strong expertise with AVEVA PI (OSISoft PI), including PI System architecture, AF, Vision, and PI Interfaces/connectors. Demonstrated experience developing operational intelligence use cases, including data analytics and visualization. Proficiency in reporting and data visualization tools, especially Microsoft Power BI. Familiarity with integrating data from SCADA, DCS, PLCs, and other industrial control systems into AVEVA PI. Knowledge of scripting and programming languages (e.g., Python, SQL) for data manipulation and analytics. Understanding of industrial communication protocols (e.g., OPC, Modbus, MQTT). Strong problem-solving abilities with a proactive and analytical approach to troubleshooting. Excellent collaboration, communication, and interpersonal skills.
